Only a few months after entering service, the newly certified, ultralong-range Gulfstream G800 has established itself as a top-tier speed machine, securing its eighth city-pair speed record en route to the Dubai Airshow 2025. This recent achievement highlights the aircraft's remarkable capabilities, efficiency, and range, reinforcing Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.'s leadership in the high-speed, long-distance business jet market.

On November 17, 2025, the eighth record was achieved on a flight between two major international hubs: Phuket, Thailand, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The G800 accomplished this challenging route in an impressive 5 hours and 38 minutes.

This recent accomplishment adds to the G800's impressive collection of speed records, which quickly garnered recognition after its service entry in August. Among the notable previous records are a transatlantic flight from Florence, Italy, to Savannah, Georgia, completed in 9 hours and 33 minutes, and an ultralong-haul trip from Miami to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 12 hours and 33 minutes. With this latest milestone, the Gulfstream fleet now boasts over 760 city-pair speed records, highlighting a legacy of consistent, verifiable performance across its entire product line.

“Setting eight speed records this quickly following its August entry into service is a powerful testament to the tremendous capabilities of this aircraft,” said Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream. “We are already seeing overwhelming interest and demand for the G800 and are pleased to be showcasing it in Dubai this week. The Middle East continues to be a strong region for Gulfstream, and we are looking forward to meeting with our customers as well as prospective customers.”

The G800, which boasts the longest range in the Gulfstream fleet, is designed for supreme global connectivity. It can travel an astonishing 8,200 nautical miles/15,186 kilometres at its long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, or a formidable 7,000 nm/12,964 km at its high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90.

The G800's exceptional performance is complemented by its emphasis on passenger wellness. It offers Gulfstream's renowned cabin environment, featuring a low cabin altitude of 2,840 feet/866 meters while cruising at 41,000 ft. Passengers enjoy 100% fresh air provided by a plasma ionisation air purification system, and the cabin is illuminated with natural light from 16 iconic Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows. The interior can be arranged with up to four living areas or a three-living area configuration with a dedicated crew compartment, providing maximum flexibility and comfort for travelling executives.

At the Dubai Airshow, the Gulfstream G700 is showcased alongside the G800. The G700 has been on a record-breaking streak, having recently exceeded 90 city-pair speed records. Among its notable recent achievements are connecting Dubai to Sydney in 12 hours and 50 minutes and completing a flight from Abu Dhabi, UAE, to London in 7 hours and 48 minutes.

The G700 and G800 both enjoy an exceptional combination of power and efficiency, powered by the highly efficient Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and featuring an advanced aerodynamic wing design with high-speed winglets developed by Gulfstream. The G700 is renowned for having the industry's most spacious cabin and a top operating speed of Mach 0.935, whereas the G800 is designed for maximum range without sacrificing speed or efficiency. The synergy between their engines and innovative wing design is the key reason for their ongoing success in setting speed records.
