Cirrus Aircraft has lifted the curtain on its 2026 SR Series G7+ lineup, introducing a suite of refinements across the SR20, SR22 and SR22T that further sharpen the ownership experience while reinforcing the brand’s long-standing focus on safety, connectivity and pilot convenience. The latest generation brings expanded avionics capabilities, enhanced global connectivity, refreshed design collections and, for the first time on the SR22, an optional four-blade composite propeller.

All 2026 SR Series aircraft incorporate Cirrus’ G7+ generational updates as standard, including Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland, Automatic Database Updates powered by Cirrus IQ PRO Advanced™, Runway Occupancy Awareness and Smart Pitot Heat. Together, these technologies continue Cirrus’ strategy of reducing pilot workload while enhancing situational awareness across all phases of flight.

“The 2026 SR Series G7+ provides our customers with more choice, more connectivity and more pilot convenience combined with revolutionary safety systems,” said Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen. “The SR Series continues to evolve in lockstep with our owners’ missions and serves as a valuable extension of their businesses and lifestyles.”

The announcement comes as the SR Series maintains its position as the world’s best-selling high-performance, single-engine piston aircraft. Cirrus recently marked the delivery of its 11,000th SR Series aircraft, commemorated with a special-edition Xi Design model, underscoring the enduring popularity of the platform nearly three decades after its debut.

A major focus of the 2026 update is connectivity, with notable enhancements to Cirrus Global Connect. The fully integrated system remains the only global weather and communications solution purpose-built for the SR Series, now delivering an expanded suite of weather products. These include storm cell movement, turbulence, icing, surface visibility and additional data layers designed to give pilots a clearer, more dynamic picture of conditions ahead.

Weather information is now automatically refreshed every five minutes along the aircraft’s flight route, reducing the need for manual updates and allowing pilots to stay focused on flying the aircraft.

Inside the cabin, Cirrus has responded to the growing power demands of modern devices. High-power USB-C ports are now standard for every occupant, with two 60-watt ports in the front cabin and two 100-watt ports in the rear. The configuration is designed to seamlessly support power-hungry equipment, including satellite communication systems such as Starlink.

Pilots can choose to communicate via the aircraft’s integrated Iridium network or bring Starlink onboard, ensuring reliable connectivity for flight operations and passengers alike, even in remote regions.

Building on the SR22T’s configuration, the 2026 SR22 now features a standard three-blade composite propeller, with a new four-blade composite propeller offered as an upgrade option for the first time. Beyond performance considerations, the four-blade option gives the aircraft a more commanding presence on the ramp, appealing to owners seeking both capability and aesthetics.

Cirrus’ Perspective Touch+™ avionics suite remains at the heart of the SR Series cockpit, and the company continues to invest in software enhancements that emphasise situational awareness and ease of use. Recent updates introduce improved visual approach capabilities, allowing pilots to select various traffic pattern entries that are displayed directly on the moving map and can be coupled with the autopilot.

These refinements are part of Cirrus’ broader avionics roadmap and are available across compatible SR Series G7 and G7+ aircraft, ensuring continuity for existing owners as well as new buyers.

The Perspective Touch+ system also includes customizable display presets, enabling pilots to save up to nine preferred screen configurations, each labelled by name. This feature provides quick access to commonly used layouts and simplifies cockpit management in high-workload environments.

Visually, the 2026 SR Series G7+ introduces two new premium design collections for Carbon and Platinum liveries. Both feature forward-sweeping lines intended to enhance the aircraft’s appearance on the ground and in flight. The Carbon collection emphasises bold branding, while the Platinum collection incorporates wing-influenced striping for a more uniform aesthetic.

Cirrus has also added three new premium exterior paint colours, Tangerine, Maldives and Viridian, drawing inspiration from Cirrus Life™ adventures and offering owners greater personalisation options.

With the 2026 SR Series G7+, Cirrus continues to refine a proven platform, blending incremental innovation with hallmark safety systems such as CAPS® and Safe Return™. The result is an aircraft family that remains firmly aligned with the evolving expectations of modern pilots, while staying true to the principles that have defined the SR Series’ success.
