After a six-year hiatus, the United Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of Rostec State Corporation, will showcase its products at a major air show in the Asia-Pacific region—the 17th International Aerospace and Marine Exhibition LIMA–2025. This event is being held on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, and has been organised under the auspices of the Malaysian Ministry of Defence since 1991.

The long-term operation of Russian aircraft by the Royal Malaysian Air Force plays a significant role in the broader context of military aviation within the Asia-Pacific region. This operational history not only showcases the reliability and effectiveness of Russian-made aircraft but also establishes a solid foundation for the potential promotion and sales of the Corporation's products across various nations in this strategically important area.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force has a longstanding relationship with Russian aircraft, which dates back several decades. This partnership has seen the introduction of various models, including fighter jets, transport aircraft, and training platforms. The sustained use of these aircraft has allowed Malaysian pilots and maintenance crews to gain extensive experience and expertise, further solidifying the operational capabilities of the air force.

In addition to Malaysia, several other countries in the Asia-Pacific region have also acquired Russian combat and training aircraft. Nations such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar have recognised the value of Russian aviation technology, often opting for these aircraft due to their cost-effectiveness, robust performance, and adaptability to various operational environments. This trend creates a ripple effect, enhancing the demand for Russian military aviation products and services throughout the region.

The ongoing operation of Russian aircraft by the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the presence of these aircraft in neighbouring countries create a favourable environment for the Corporation to promote its products. The established trust in the performance of Russian aircraft can be leveraged to introduce newer models and advanced technologies to these markets. Furthermore, this enduring presence can facilitate partnerships and collaborations with local defence industries, enhancing the Corporation's footprint in the region.

UAC’s exposition (stand A005) will feature models of military and civil aircraft, in particular the Su-57E, Su-75, Be-200 and MS-21-310. The program of demonstration flights at the exhibition will include a performance by the "Russian Knights" aerobatic team on new super-manoeuvrable multi-role Su-35S fighters.
The Asia-Pacific region represents a crucial market for the promotion of the Corporation's products across both military and civilian sectors. Consequently, UAC is showcasing its primary innovative projects at the exhibition and is significantly enhancing its efforts in the Asia-Pacific market.
