Textron Aviation has announced a new high-speed internet connectivity option for the Cessna Citation Caravan, following the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) approval of AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Starlink high-speed internet connectivity. The STC from AeroMech leverages Starlink's constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver more reliable connectivity over land, water, and remote areas, where conventional in-flight Wi-Fi may lack coverage.

“The Cessna Caravan is so versatile, it can go almost anywhere, and Textron Aviation understands the importance of providing a connectivity solution in more of the places our customers want to go," said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, Customer Support. "The Caravan recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and offering Starlink high-speed connectivity upgrade continues to provide customers with the latest technology, no matter where the aircraft is in its lifecycle.”

Customers may arrange the installation of the upgrade at Textron Aviation Service Centres located in North America, as well as at selected International Service Centres. AeroMech’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) incorporates a Starlink Aviation Kit, which includes an Aero Terminal (Antenna), a Power Supply Unit (PSU), two Wireless Access Points (WAPs), and necessary harnessing, requiring only power input from the aircraft.
