Gulfstream Aerospace has reached two notable milestones for its flagship Gulfstream G700 business jet, completing its 100th customer delivery and recording its 100th city-pair speed record.

The latest speed record was achieved on a flight from Savannah, Georgia, to San Jose, California, completed in 4 hours and 36 minutes at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.91. The aircraft then continued from San Jose to Teterboro, New Jersey, covering the route in 4 hours and 14 minutes, also at an average speed of Mach 0.91.

The achievements underscore the G700’s position at the top end of the business aviation market. Designed for ultra-long-range missions, the aircraft combines high-speed performance with one of the largest and most versatile cabins in its class. Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the G700 offers a range of up to 7,750 nautical miles (14,353 km) at Mach 0.85, enabling non-stop flights between city pairs such as New York and Hong Kong or London and Singapore. It can also cruise at Mach 0.90 for 6,650 nautical miles (12,316 km), while its maximum operating speed is Mach 0.935.

A key feature of the G700 is its spacious cabin, which can be configured with up to five living areas and a dedicated crew compartment. The cabin incorporates Gulfstream’s signature design elements, including 20 panoramic oval windows, 100% fresh air circulation, low cabin altitude, and advanced lighting systems aimed at enhancing passenger comfort during long-haul flights.

The aircraft is equipped with Gulfstream’s next-generation Symmetry Flight Deck, which features active control sidesticks, touchscreen avionics, and Phase-of-Flight intelligence designed to reduce pilot workload and improve operational efficiency. Safety technologies include the Combined Vision System, which integrates enhanced and synthetic vision into a single display to improve situational awareness, particularly in challenging operating conditions.

The G700 is manufactured at Gulfstream’s Savannah, Georgia, production campus, where advanced robotics, digital manufacturing technologies, and precision assembly processes support aircraft production. Since entering service, the aircraft has accumulated a growing list of speed records while attracting strong demand from corporate operators, charter providers, and private owners worldwide.

More than 700 pilots have completed G700 type-rating training through FlightSafety International, and the aircraft has now been certified in more than 20 countries, supporting its expanding global fleet.

With 100 aircraft delivered and 100 speed records achieved, the G700 continues to demonstrate the performance, range, and cabin capabilities that have made it a flagship model in Gulfstream’s business jet portfolio.
