Embraer unveiled the new visual identity of the KC-390 Millennium demonstrator aircraft. The event was conducted at GOL Aerotech's facilities in Confins, Minas Gerais, where the aircraft was adorned with its new livery.

This presentation highlights the significant positive momentum of the KC-390 Program through a new and impactful visual identity. This identity embodies the qualities that have enabled the Millennium to establish itself as a global leader in the medium segment of military tactical transport.

"This new visual identity represents an important milestone in the history of the KC-390 Millennium, the multi-mission aircraft of the 21st century. It's an unbeatable combination of speed, agility, robustness, reliability, technology and efficiency, unique in the segment, not only strengthens the defence capabilities of its operators, but also promotes strategic interoperability among allied nations," said Bosco da Costa Júnior, President and CEO of Embraer Defence & Security.

Embraer Defence & Security, responding to increased global interest in the KC-390 Millennium, plans to enhance its marketing efforts and conduct demonstrations for potential customers, utilising its new visual identity. The aircraft's first international appearance under this new branding is scheduled for later this year.

The painting of the demonstrator aircraft at GOL Aerotech's facilities also opens up the possibility of future painting of customers' aircraft, in addition to the expansion of Embraer's production capacity to meet the global demand for the KC-390.

Since its induction into service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the Portuguese Air Force in 2023, and the Hungarian Air Force in 2024, the KC-390 Millennium has consistently demonstrated its capability, reliability, and performance. The operational fleet has achieved a mission completion rate exceeding 99%, underscoring its exceptional productivity within its category. To date, this 21st-century aircraft has been selected by 11 air forces globally, including eight European nations and seven NATO member countries.

The KC-390 Millennium surpasses other medium-sized military transport aircraft with a payload capacity of 26 tons, a speed of 470 knots, and an extended range. It is adept at executing a diverse array of missions, including cargo and troop transport and deployment, medical evacuation, search and rescue (SAR), firefighting, and humanitarian operations. Additionally, it is capable of operating on temporary or unpaved runways, such as those composed of packed earth, soil, and gravel. Configured for air-to-air operations under the designation KC-390, the aircraft has demonstrated its aerial refuelling capabilities both as a tanker and as a receiver, the latter achieved by receiving fuel from another KC-390 via pods mounted under the wings.
