Bombardier’s Global 7500 Soars to New Heights With its 150th Speed Record

Bombardier announced that its Global 7500 business jet, renowned for its industry-defining capabilities, has achieved a new performance milestone by securing its 150th speed record, the highest ever set by a single business aircraft type. This high-speed business aircraft has recently set significant city pair speed records, including routes from Tokyo to Los Angeles, Toronto to Paris, New York to London, and Hong Kong to Montreal. Additionally, the aircraft maintained an average speed exceeding 1,000 km/h on 20 of its record-setting flights, delivering passengers to their destinations in record time.

Previous accomplishments of the Global 7500 include setting the record for the longest flight in business aviation history, covering 8,225 nautical miles (15,232.7 km) from Sydney to Detroit. Additionally, it achieved the industry's longest range non-stop mission, flying from London City Airport to Los Angeles.

With a top speed of Mach 0.925 and a baseline range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km), the Global 7500 establishes a new standard in the ultra-long-range category. Additionally, it reduces fuel consumption, lowers emissions, and offers outstanding short-field and high-speed performance, providing an ideal solution for our discerning customers.

The distinctive features of the Global 7500 aircraft are set to be further advanced with the upcoming Global 8000 aircraft. Bombardier's flagship for a new era is expected to offer an industry-leading range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.94, establishing it as the premier all-in-one business aircraft. Additionally, it will include an ultra-low cabin altitude, setting new benchmarks in business aviation standards.
