Gulfstream Aerospace has announced the inaugural customer delivery of the Gulfstream G800, recognised as the world’s longest-range business aircraft. The G800's entry into service succeeds its certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on April 16. The aircraft was completed at Gulfstream's facility in Appleton, Wisconsin.

“We have seen astounding demand for the G800, and the entire Gulfstream team is excited to begin making deliveries to our customers,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary program maturity, just like the Gulfstream G700 before it. We look forward to customers around the world experiencing the aircraft’s remarkable capabilities and cabin comfort, and I congratulate Gulfstream’s Appleton team and the more than 21,000 Gulfstream employees worldwide for this significant accomplishment in delivering another quality product from our next-generation family of aircraft.”

The G800, recently recognised with the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design, boasts the industry's lowest cabin altitude at 2,840 feet (866 meters) when cruising at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters). It offers 100% fresh air in the cabin, features a plasma ionisation air purification system, and includes 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows. The interior can be arranged to include up to four living areas or three living areas with a dedicated crew compartment.

The certifications issued on April 16 verified the improved performance capabilities of the G800. This aircraft can travel 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 kilometres) at a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 kilometres) at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. Additionally, it is capable of flying 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 kilometres) at Mach 0.87. Furthermore, the maximum operating speed of the G800 has been increased to Mach 0.935 from Mach 0.925.

Gulfstream's acclaimed Symmetry Flight Deck has transformed business aviation by significantly enhancing safety and efficiency. The introduction of active control sidesticks, a pioneering advancement in the industry, enhances nonverbal communication between pilots through tactile feedback. Featuring ten touch-screen displays, the most comprehensive application in business aviation, the system operates in harmony with Phase-of-Flight intelligence to minimise pilot workload and expedite aircraft startup procedures. Additionally, the uniformity of flight decks across our large-cabin aircraft simplifies pilot certification and streamlines fleet management.

Gulfstream's Appleton location features operations for large-cabin completions, a custom-designed paint hangar that opened in 2023 and can handle up to 48 aircraft annually, as well as an updated Gulfstream Customer Support facility for maintenance, repair and overhaul.
