Embraer and Kenya Airways sign Collaborative Inventory Planning Agreement

Kenya Airways and Embraer have entered into an agreement for the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) program. This initiative aims to optimize inventory levels and reduce operational costs for Kenya Airways' E190 jets. The contract will extend support to 13 aircraft. Kenya Airways has been a customer of Embraer since 2006 and operates flights to 45 destinations globally, including 37 within Africa, serving over 5 million passengers.

“Embraer is honoured by Kenya Airways’ trust in the Collaborative Inventory Planning management system. We are ready to support the airline to keep its E-Jets fleet ready to fly, matching excellent performance and low operational costs. Our solution will provide Kenya Airways access to Embraer’s global logistics network and deepen the partnership between our companies,” says Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & Support.

ECIP provides numerous benefits to customers. Primarily, Embraer undertakes the majority of the inventory investment, significantly reducing the investment typically required from customers. Additionally, the fixed annual pricing for each part enables customers to more accurately align costs with performance levels, which are assured by Embraer Services & Support.

The operation is data-driven, featuring weekly ordering recommendations based on customer usage and stock levels, utilizing advanced software and Embraer's collaborative planning expertise. Lastly, all ECIP participants can rely on Embraer's expertise in materials management for a tailored and flexible spare parts management solution.
