At the Paris Air Show from June 16-22, 2025, Dassault Systèmes demonstrated how its 3D UNIV+RSES is revolutionising design, production, and operations to influence the future of the aerospace and defence industry.

As the industry encounters challenges concerning complexity, safety, sovereignty, skills, sustainability, and time-to-market, it is crucial to implement new methodologies throughout the value chain. 3D UNIV+RSES support the industry in the conceptualisation and development of innovative products and services, emphasising experiential aspects. By uniquely integrating modelling, simulation, data science, and AI-generated content, they blend virtual and real environments within a secure framework. This approach facilitates experimentation, collaboration, learning, and innovation while protecting intellectual property.

Dassault Systèmes showcased the transformative potential of virtual twins and AI-enabled generative experiences, seamlessly integrated throughout the aircraft lifecycle to expedite processes from design to operations. The demonstrations addressed various contemporary industry challenges, such as workforce training and the capture and preservation of expertise to empower the next generation. Key highlights and demonstrations include:
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform offers advanced capabilities for aircraft construction, utilising AI-powered generative experiences. It facilitates the automation of production processes, testing, and optimisation of airframes for certification. Additionally, it ensures quality, reduces maintenance costs, and provides a range of other benefits.
Panels discussing the paradigm shift driven by the virtual world in sectors such as defence, supply chain, production, advanced air mobility, and education will feature participants from Airbus Defence and Space, the French Procurement Agency (DGA), NIAR, Aciturri, SABCA, TAAC Aerospace Technologies, UUDS Group, Beyond Aero, UrbanV, Vertical Aerospace, Group ISAE, among others.
A competition is being held, inviting participants to use a mobile web application to scan QR codes, allowing them to collect iconic virtual replicas of innovations created by Dassault Systèmes' customers, with the opportunity to win prizes.

“The future of aerospace and defence requires new ways to bring machines, drones, satellites, equipment and intelligent systems to life, and to redefine how the world can benefit from them. Our 3D UNIV+RSES propel this disruption forward with generative AI, knowledge and know-how, catalysing a new era of industrial transformation that delivers performance, resilience and sovereignty,” said David Ziegler, Vice President, Aerospace and Defence Industry, Dassault Systèmes.
