Boeing has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the global aviation community by announcing the continuation of its Platinum Level sponsorship of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) flagship event, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The renewed agreement, announced on 5 January 2026, extends the partnership for a further three years and ensures Boeing’s continued prominent presence at what is widely regarded as the world’s greatest aviation gathering.

Since formally beginning its support of EAA AirVenture in 2011, Boeing’s involvement has grown steadily, making it one of the largest and most recognisable exhibitors on the Oshkosh flightline. Over the years, the partnership has evolved into far more than a conventional sponsorship, reflecting a shared mission to inspire, educate, and support aviation enthusiasts and future professionals across all sectors of the industry.

A central feature of the renewed agreement is Boeing’s continued naming rights to Boeing Plaza, the expansive central display area that has become the heartbeat of AirVenture. Strategically located at the heart of the showgrounds, Boeing Plaza hosts an ever-changing lineup of commercial, military, and historic aircraft, drawing crowds throughout the week-long event. The plaza serves as a focal point where aviation history, cutting-edge technology, and future concepts converge.

Equally significant is Boeing’s ongoing sponsorship of free admission for all youth attendees aged 18 and under. This initiative has had a profound impact in recent years, giving nearly half a million young people the opportunity to experience AirVenture and immerse themselves in the world of aviation. By removing financial barriers, Boeing and EAA are helping to spark curiosity and ambition among the next generation of pilots, engineers, maintainers and aerospace innovators.

Under the new agreement, Boeing will also continue as the Presenting Sponsor of WomenVenture, an important programme dedicated to supporting and celebrating women in aviation. WomenVenture has become a cornerstone of AirVenture, offering networking opportunities, mentorship, forums, and events designed to encourage greater participation and representation of women across all aviation disciplines.

Additional elements of the partnership include Boeing’s support for the Airline Crew Check-in facility, which recognises the vital role airline pilots and crew play in the broader aviation ecosystem, as well as continued backing of multiple KidVenture activities. KidVenture remains one of AirVenture’s most popular attractions for younger visitors, offering hands-on learning experiences, interactive exhibits, and educational programmes that make aviation accessible and exciting.

Chris Raymond, President and CEO of Boeing Global Services, emphasised the importance of AirVenture as a platform that encompasses the entire spectrum of aviation. He noted that participation at Oshkosh continues to grow not only within general aviation, but also across the commercial, business, and military sectors. According to Raymond, AirVenture provides an ideal stage to showcase Boeing’s diverse portfolio of products and services while engaging directly with a global audience united by a passion for flight. He also emphasised EAA’s impressive international reach and its role in inspiring future aviation professionals.

EAA CEO and Chairman Jack Pelton echoed these sentiments, praising Boeing as a valued and enduring partner. Pelton described Boeing Plaza as the emotional and operational centre of AirVenture and highlighted the transformative impact of the youth admission programme. He expressed gratitude for Boeing’s continued support, noting that the partnership has opened the doors of aviation to hundreds of thousands of young people who may one day shape the future of the industry.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, often referred to as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration,” is EAA’s annual membership convention and a global showcase of aviation culture. Each year, the event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, thousands of aircraft, and participants from around the world, representing a diverse range of aircraft, from homebuilt and vintage models to the latest developments in commercial and military aviation.

As preparations begin for AirVenture 2026, Boeing and EAA have encouraged aviation enthusiasts to follow updates on planned exhibits, programming and activities through their respective platforms. With the renewed Platinum Level sponsorship in place, attendees can once again expect Boeing to play a central role in delivering an inspiring, inclusive, and forward-looking Oshkosh experience.
