Ethiopian Airlines has been honoured with the Four-Star Global Airline award at the 2025 APEX Passenger Choice Awards, recognizing its dedication to providing top-notch service to passengers travelling to over 140 international destinations. This prestigious accolade reaffirms Ethiopian Airlines' position as a customer-focused service provider, proudly solidifying its status as a SKYTRAX four-star global airline.
“We are truly honoured to receive the prestigious ‘Four-Star Global Airline’ title once again,” said Mr Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group. “This award underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ determination to uphold the highest levels of service. We are thrilled to have our efforts recognized once more, motivating us to strive for even greater achievements.”
The APEX Five-Star and Four-Star Airline Awards are exclusive international accolades determined entirely by impartial feedback and opinions from passengers, gathered through APEX's partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, the leading travel organization app globally. For the 2025 Awards, passengers evaluated more than one million Passenger Name Records (PNR) verified flights from over 600 airlines worldwide using a five-star rating scale.
Furthermore, the APEX Five-Star and Four-Star Airline Awards undergo independent verification by a reputable external auditing firm. Starting in 2025, the assessment standards have been enhanced, leading to the exclusive bestowal of the APEX Five Star accolade upon the Top 40 airlines globally, a distinction held by less than 7% of rated airlines. Similarly, the APEX Four Star category has been refined to encompass the subsequent 50 airlines worldwide, highlighting that only 8% of airlines worldwide meet these rigorous criteria. This achievement signifies a major milestone for Ethiopian Airlines, positioning it among the elite in the aviation sector.
